PUMA evoPOWER 1 - Blue/White/Peach

PUMA drop second official colourway on the new evoPOWER 1

PUMA extend their evoPOWER line-up with the release of the new Blue/White/Peach release. Like most major launches nowadays, PUMA are quick to follow up the bright Peach/Blue/Yellow with a more sober design that's sure to have a wider appeal. The boots feature some striking elements with colour-pops added to the EveFit Cage.

The PUMA evoPOWER replaced the retired PowerCat series in January as the brand reshaped their power silo. After an extended tease phase that included the evoPOWER Stampa and Camo designs and a launch event in Barcelona, the boot hasn't been short of a headline or two.

Designed and developed to optimise kicking velocity the evoPOWER 1 is based around theories behind barefoot kicking. The innovative Japanese one-way stretchable microfibre AdapLite upper material is lightweight and super soft to allow for natural foot mechanics as close as possible to a barefoot kicking motion.

An EverFit cage. first used on the evoSPEED is strategically placed in the midfoot to provide optimal flexibility and stability and comfort and a customised heel provides comfort and less pressure on the Achilles, whilst ensuring a bigger range of motion for the foot.

AccuFoam has been introduced to to the kicking area of the boot and applied underneath the upper material to generate more power and accuracy when striking the ball and the Gradual Stability Frame allows the outsole of the boot to flex in a way that mimics the bare foot, unleashing the foot's natural power.

So far a host of PUMA professionals have decided to lace up the new boot. Predictably most PowerCat wearers have made the switch, as well as PUMA's newest signing Mario Balotelli. But even Manchester City midfielder and previous PUMA king wearer Yaya Toure has been wearing the evoPOWER, scoring from the spot in them against Tottenham on Wednesday evening.
