New Balance Release Summer-Ready Colourways For Furon & Tekela

New Balance gear up for a summer of international football tournaments by releasing the Furon and Tekela boots in vibrant “Bleached Lime Glo” colourways that are sure to stand out on pitch.

With the 24/25 season reaching its climactic conclusion, attention starts to drift to what’s beyond, and of course there’s a summer full of international football to come, with Euro 24 in Germany and Copa America in the United States. And it’s with those two tournaments in mind that New Balance have given the Furon v7+ and Tekela v4+ some eye-catching colour updates that land in stark contrast to the recently dropped ‘Grey Days Pack’.

Where the ‘Grey Days Pack’ stripped all colour our of the Furon and Tekela for a look that was more in line with the brand’s signature neutral colour palette, here we go in the complete opposite direction: bright and bold and ready to capture the world’s attention on the feet of the world’s stars on the international stage.

It’s a fairly uniform presentation, with both the Furon and Tekela adopting that “Bleached Lime Glo” colour as a base look, while the branding, which features in the same execution on both boots, bringing their visual identity arguably closer than ever, stands out in a contrasting in black. Of course, there are visual differences – the off-centre lacing of the Furon being the most noticeable, but you have to look pretty closely to spot them, especially if you’re lining the low-cut Tekela up alongside the Furon.

As it is, the Tekela is also available in a high collared, laceless version, and that allows it to stand out alongside the Furon.

Whilst they may be visually similar, from a performance perspective the boots are quite difference in terms of the qualities they offer. The New Balance Furon V7 is the brand's lightweight speed silo, built for speed and maximum agility. Worn by the likes of Bukayo Saka, it features a Hypoknit upper, designed to provide strategic areas of stretch, combined with that signature off-set lacing system.

Meanwhile, the Tekela is the brand's control boot, with technology across the upper that is created to maximise touch, power and comfort. Worn by the likes of Liverpool's Harvey Elliot and Brazil's Endrick, the Tekela boasts a full-foot, stretch-knit upper that adapts to the shape of the foot.

Two visually similar options that perform quite differently on the pitch, you can expect to see these boots appearing on pitches across the globe in the coming weeks.
