Landing as the first arrival of the new “Marinerush Pack’, adidas drop the new, next generation COPA Pure 2, and as the name suggests, this is more a tweak on the last model in the line, rather than anything radical changes.
Back in September, adidas dropped the Copa Icon and Copa Gloro in some beautiful navy tones, heralding the arrival of an all-new pack on the pitches of the elite game. Well, now we get the first official release from the ‘Marinerush Pack’, with the launch of the new COPA Pure 2, which is available in two premium options: the 2+ and 2.1, both of which are presented in a “Lucid Blue/White/Solar Red” colourway.
So, rather than introduce an all new generational update for the COPA line, the COPA Pure 2 is more of a tweak on what came before, refining the product for an even more improved performance. That’s achieved through some subtle improvements on the FUSIONSKIN upper, which is combined with soft leather, while the 2+ also features 3D haptic print for precise touch.
There’s also a difference in the collar, with the 2+ featuring a laced PRIMEKNIT collar, which offers a firm and comfortable fit with lockdown to the foot’s shape. The 2.1 features a textile collar to support easy entry and provide a more classic fit.
On the underside, both feature a lightweight TORSIONFRAME outsole, providing traction and stability.
